Today's Surf Report - Gracetown, West Oz

Funky conditions around Gracetown today, but there was the occasional gem in the rough. 2m swell and light-moderate WSW winds saw pretty bumpy conditions outside the bay. Conditions were much cleaner at South Point, but the swell was only just big enough to make it surfable.

Swell's ramping up overnight, peaking at 3.4m tomorrow night, with a solid swell period (18sec first thing tomorrow), so she'll have some push! Winds will be SSE @ 20kn first thing, turning SE later in the morning and dropping slightly to around 17kn. So the offshores will be brisk, but the waves closer to shore should be do-able.

Today's photos from Gracetown area below, enjoy :)

S U R F - Bloody Good Friday, Part 2

As promised, here are a few snaps of Margs Mainbreak, Bombie, Boat Ramps, and South Side from that epic Friday (April 18th) a coupla weeks ago. The shot of Boat Ramps is distant, but you can see guys towing in to the left. And there's a brave chap paddling The Bombie; you can just see him flying down the line on the 2-shot sequence. Enjoy!

S U R F - Bloody Good Friday - Margaret River

Last friday (Good Friday) was a BLOODY good friday for surf around Margaret River. A 5.5m 18sec swell ploughed into light offshore winds and sunshine to produce an epic day of surfing around the coast. North Point, Margs and all the bombies were firing and there will no doubt be no shortage of memoroidal digital goodness leaking out of this area over the next few weeks.

I took a few snaps myself, and although my skills leave a bit to be desired (sorry 'bout the blurry ones), you'll get the idea. Enjoy!!

That's just a sample, more to come...:)
